The 13th Queer International Tango Festival will take place in Buenos Aires from November 13 to 17.
Founded in 2007, the International Queer Tango Festival of Buenos Aires annually brings together people who, both in Argentina and in other countries, are working on the subject: teachers, organizers, intellectuals, musicians, dancers and students from all over the world.
The Queer Tango proposal is to dance the tango without the roles being defined by the sex/gender of those who dance it. In this way, not only couples of the same sex/gender are welcome, but also those in which women practice the traditional driving role and men follow-up, as well as couples who perform during the same tango the exchange of roles. In this sense, Tango Queer proposes a free, versatile and creative environment. More information on this proposal can be found, in Spanish and English, on the site: http://tangoqueer.com
On this occasion, the Festival will be extended for five days, will include the realization of 4 milongas and 12 workshops. More information about the program is at: https://festivaltangoqueer.com.ar/
