Information concerning visas
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THOROUGHLY and make sure that you fulfill ALL the requirements established by law, to avoid any delay in the process.
Passengers in TRANSIT to other destinations, who stay in the premises of the Argentine International Airport for less than 06 hours, are not required to have a visa stamped on their passport.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Visa Applications in the transitory category for an Indian residing anywhere in the country will be accepted, as long as the required documents are addressed to the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Mumbai, India. - The Visa Applications must be submitted on email for verification. On finishing the verification process, applicants shall receive an appointment to submit the application in hard copy. Visa interview shall be conducted on the date of appointment and collection date for passport shall be confirmed after the visa interview.
- The Visa Department is open from Monday to Friday for submission and collection of passport, only on appointment basis. The Consulate is closed on Argentine and Indian holidays.
- Applications must be presented at least 6 (SIX) weeks before the expected date of travel. For tourist visas processing time might take longer due to the high tourist season in Argentina or to high volume of applications.
- Visa applications are generally processed within 8 business days. However, this time frame varies depending on the type of visa requested and the time taken to fulfill all the requirements.
- The intermediation of agents is NOT compulsory to perform paperwork and proceedings in this Consulate.
- Visa application forms must be hand-written and filled in (BLUE INK) by the applicants. It should be printed on 3 (three) separate pages and NOT back to back. It is mandatory for the applicants to sign the Visa form before the Cónsul in-charge of visas. You can download and fill either English or Spanish version of the Visa form.
Kindly note: visa applications with incomplete documentation shall be rejected.
- A separate visa application form is required for each traveller, regardless of age.
One recent passport size photograph must be pasted on the Visa form as per the given specifications.
- Intentionally submitting false information either on the visa application form itself or during the visa interview can lead to a finding of a permanent ineligibility. Never sign the application you are submitting without reviewing it first for accuracy.
- The interview conducted by the Consul is mandatory by law and admits no exceptions.
- Kindly note: You are strongly advised to book dummy reservations until you receive your passport with the stamped visa, And The payment of the visa fee is mandatory in order to initiate the visa process that includes verification of documents, visa interview and visa stamping. If the visa is denied, refund is not applicable for any of the visa categories.
For MINORS: They require an authorization from both the parents and the parents should accompany them at the time of the personal interview. (The visa form of a minor must be signed by both the parents).
- Fee Deposits are made in Indian Rupees at the conversion rate of the day (as per Consular Units decided by the Consulate)
- In accordance with the relevant law of the Argentine Republic and the international practice, please note that the Consul is entitled to refuse the visa request.

- For Acquiring E-Visa:
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
Only for passport holders from India, Nepal and Maldives, Only for TOURISM purposes
For holders of a valid US Visa. B1/B2 (valid for 6 months)
Holders of valid Schengen Visa will no longer be accepted for acquiring E-Visa
The validity of ETA will be 3 months from the date of issue
The period of stay will be 3 months with multiple entry/exit
The processing time of ETA is 20 business days
