Unleash the Energy of the Pampas: Partner with Argentina in a New Solar Landmark

The Consulate General and Promotion Centre of the Argentine Republic announces that the Province of La Pampa –the eighth biggest Argentine province in terms of surface, renowned for its agribusiness potential- is set to tender the second stage of a 15 MW Solar Photovoltaic Park.

The provincial government, through its energy company, Pampetrol, has allocated over 100 hectares for clean energy generation and is building a Transformer Substation to supply industries and services in the vicinity of General Pico, the second biggest town in the Province.

The scope of the tender includes engineering, procurement and construction, assembly and commissioning, grid connection, operation and maintenance, and energy commercialisation. The province-runned energy company, Pampetrol, will contribute with 20% of stake, whereas the successful tenderer will contribute with the remaining 80% stake.

All energy generated shall be sold to the Provincial Energy Administration (APELP) under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement, with energy sales at the fixed tendered price from years 1 to 7, capped at 65 USD/MWh; Stabilised Reference Energy Price from years 8 to 15, with caps of +20% and -20% relative to the fixed tendered price, and price equivalent to 90% of the Stabilised Reference Energy Price, not exceeding the fixed tendered price plus 20%, from year 16 onwards.

The tender is already open till September 2026. It is expected to sign the contract in October 2026 and start the one-year construction plan thereafter.
