Alberto Fernández will be the new President of Argentina

On Sunday October 27, Argentina held national elections for President and Vice President, senators, members of the Congress and other provincial and municipal offices.

The Alberto Fernández-Cristina Fernández de Kirchner formula was awarded the winner on the Mauricio Macri-Miguel Angel Pichetto formula. The partial but irreversible numbers show 48% for Fernández and 40% for Macri.

At 10 pm President Mauricio Macri granted the defeat in a friendly telephone conversation with the future President and invited him to a private breakfast to begin the transition process, which took place on Monday, 28.

President-elect Alberto Fernández will assume his position on December 10, 2019.
