For four consecutive years Argentine researcher is mentioned by American-British company Clarivate Analytics as one of the most influential minds of the world and by British journal Nature as one of the five scientists to watch in 2019. Sandra Díaz, of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) is senior researcher at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Plant Biology (IMBIV, CONICET-UNC) and co-leads the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), the body that brings together more than 150 researchers from the entire world and provides policy makers with objective scientific assessment on biodiversity, ecosystems, apart from the tools and methods to protect them and make sustainable use.
