Between 1976 and 1983 Argentina was under the rule of a military government that implemented a systematic plan for the abduction of babies, girls and boys, who were separated from their disappeared parents.

Since then Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo) and their families have been looking for them. To date 130 granddaughters and grandsons recovered their identity, their history and their biological ties.
