The Consulate General and Promotion Centre of the Argentine Republic in Mumbai organized a series of exclusive screenings of the Argentine National Team's matches during the FIFA World Cup, providing the Argentine community, Indian football fans, and friends of Argentina with the opportunity to come together and support La Albiceleste. The initiative highlighted sport as a means of bringing people together and strengthening cultural ties between Argentina and India.

The first screening, featuring the match between Argentina and Austria, was held at Escobar in Bandra and attracted more than 200 attendees. The event included a Tango show, interactive activities and contests for the audience, with winners receiving gifts courtesy of the Argentine fashion brand La Martina and National Team jerseys, helping to create a festive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.

Subsequently, the Consulate organized the screening of the semifinal between Argentina and England at 145 Kala Ghoda, followed by the final between Argentina and Spain at Flamboyanté, Cuffe Parade. Both events drew audiences of more than 500 people, who came together to cheer on the Argentina national team in an atmosphere of friendship, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.

These activities are part of the Consulate General's ongoing commitment to strengthening relations between Argentina and India through initiatives that promote cultural exchange and foster closer connections between their societies. Football, as an expression of identity and shared passion, serves as a valuable tool for reinforcing bonds of amity and encouraging greater engagement between fans from both countries.
